Christmas at All Saints Peckham

All you need to know about Christmas...

Our Services

Sunday 16 December – Carols by Candlelight, 5pm & 7.30pm.

The 5pm service, although not aimed at children, will be more suitable for children of primary school age and up to attend.

Sunday 23 December – Children’s Nativity, 10.30am.

If you’re inviting friends with young children, including those at primary school, this is the best service to invite them to!  It will be interactive, fun, and a great place for all ages to encounter the joy of Jesus.

Sunday 23 December – Carols by Starlight, 6pm.

A service outside in collaboration with Bar Story and other local businesses along Blenheim Grove.

Monday 24 December – Midnight Communion, 11.15pm.

An awe-filled moment to celebrate Jesus’ birth.  This service attracts a lot of visitors; come along and welcome Christmas in.

Tuesday 25 December – Christmas Communion, 9am

Tuesday 25 December –  Christmas Day Celebration, 10.30am.

Carol Singing

We want to invite everyone in our parish to celebrate the joy of Christmas with us!

We’ll be singing carols and handing out invitations…

On Saturday 8 December at Pexmas – a Peckham event in Warwick Gardens which attracts hundreds if not thousands of local people!

On Tuesday 11 December at Peckham Rye Station from 6.30am during the morning rush hour.

On Wednesday 12 December from 8pm going from pub to pub in Peckham.

On Thursday 13 December at the bus stop on Rye Lane opposite the Aylesham Centre, from 6.30am, carolling the bus commuters.

These are all brilliant opportunities to sing about Jesus and share the good news of his birth.  Some homegroups might like to take on one of these as a shared mission opportunity. Which one of these might you be able to join in with?  Please do put it in your diary now, and more details will follow nearer the time.

Carols by Candlelight choir

Our Carols by Candlelight services are on Sunday 16 December, 5pm & 7.30pm.

Last year we had over 500 people across the services and this year we hope for even more! This is such an amazing opportunity to invite your friends, neighbours and family to.

It is also a big event to organise and we’d love to know if you are able to help….

We’ll be serving mulled wine and mince pies in both services, can you help with this?

We want to give all our guest a brilliant welcome, can you greet people with a big smile? Let us know.

In between the services we need to clear up the church quickly ready for the next one – could you help clear up?

If you are able to help at both services food will be provided between services. You will be well looked after! If you can only help at one then we’d still love your help. Contact the church office. Thank you.

Carols by Candlelight Choir

We’re looking for confident singers (of all ages) to sing in this year’s carol service.  There’s only going to be two choir rehearsals; Monday 3 December in the evening, and Saturday 15 December during the day so you will need to be able attend both rehearsals. Contact Jonathan Smith to sign up, [email protected].
